Main Purpose of Job :We are seeking a motivated Product Development Laboratory Assistant to organize and execute technology and product development trials in our product and bench-scale laboratories. You will collaborate with project and pilot plant teams to develop medical nutrition, consumer care products, and VMS products under limited supervision.
Key Responsibilities :Support planning and manage concept and development trials, including ingredient ordering and requests.Coordinate and implement project plans, overseeing bench- and pilot plant trials.Record trial and process parameters and assist in analysis, sensory evaluations, and shelf life studies.Ensure compliance with food production regulations (FDA, EPA, OSHA, GMP) and contribute to departmental procedure improvements.Document, analyze, and interpret trial results, presenting findings to project teams and management.Uphold Food Safety, Quality, and Occupational Safety policies while managing the PD Lab, including maintenance of supplies and cleanliness.Develop expertise in nutrition science, dietary supplements, and functional foods.Competencies :Nutritional formulationIngredient sourcingPilot plant trial managementAnalytical and sensory test planningTrial outcome analysisIndustrial trial recommendationsRequired Skills :1-5 years of experience in food or nutritional food processing, nutraceuticals, or dietary supplements manufacturing.Experience in processing or manufacturing nutritional food formulations.Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team under defined timelines.Education Requirements :Minimum BS degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related Life Science area.Why work for Adecco : Weekly pay401(K) PlanSkill TrainingExcellent Medical, Dental and Vision benefitsBenefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
