Olsten Staffing is assisting a local client in Pageland, South Carolina to find an experienced and eager Maintenance Mechanic Helper to join their growing team!
The main responsibility of a Maintenance Mechanic Helper is to assist a mechanic with the maintenance and repair of vehicles, machinery, and equipment.
- Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assisting with repairs such as oil changes, tune-ups, brake, and tire checks, and replacing spark plugs.
- Inspecting and maintaining tools and equipment, and ensuring they are in working order.
- Keeping the work area clean and returning tools to their proper place.
- Maintaining an inventory of replacement parts and equipment.
- Updating maintenance and repair logs for vehicles.
- Adhering to safety rules and policies.
- Qualifications and Requirements :
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Read, write, and speak English
- Forklift experience, preferred
- Physical Demands :
- Ability to handle 50 lbs.
- Exposure to dust, vibration, noise, temperature variations and rotating equipment
- Ability to use personal protective equipment is required
- Must be physically able to operate a forklift
Pay rate for this position is $15 an hour with a chance to become permanent with client.
