Surgical Technologist - $40 to $46 per hour – Fort Lee, NJ
Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences partners with a premier Ambulatory Surgery Center in Fort Lee, NJ , located minutes from the George Washington Bridge. This state-of-the-art facility, spanning 21,000 square feet, is recognized for its leadership in outpatient surgical care across specialties including orthopedics, ENT, pain management, and neurosurgery. We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technician to join a team dedicated to advancing patient outcomes through innovation and precision.
Position Overview
As a Certified Surgical Technologist , you will serve as a critical member of a high-performing surgical team in a fast-paced environment renowned for its advanced minimally invasive procedures. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with over 90 specialized physicians, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Lead intraoperative support by preparing and sterilizing instruments, ensuring adherence to aseptic protocols for complex orthopedic, urologic, and ENT procedures.
Partner with surgeons and RNs to anticipate procedural needs, maintain optimal visibility in the surgical field, and manage specimen handling with meticulous attention to detail.
Champion operational readiness by inspecting equipment functionality pre-procedure and troubleshooting instrumentation issues in real time.
Drive accreditation excellence through strict compliance with infection control standards and participation in quarterly quality assurance audits.
Support continuous learning by attending monthly in-services on emerging surgical technologies, including robotics and advanced wound closure systems.
Qualifications
Education : Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
Certifications :
Current NBSTSA certification ( required )
Active BLS credential ( required )
Orthopedic or Neurosurgical specialization ( preferred )
Experience : 1 years in ASC or hospital OR settings; new graduates with 500 clinical hours in multi-specialty rotations will be considered.
Technical Competencies :
Expertise in complex tray setups for spinal instrumentation and arthroplasty
Proficiency with autoclave systems and biological indicator monitoring
Familiarity with Envision or Censitrac inventory management platforms
Critical Skills :
Ability to prioritize tasks during simultaneous back-table preparations
Demonstrated crisis management skills in high-acuity scenarios
Fluency in medical terminology across surgical subspecialties
