Adel Elementary is seeking a highly motivated, quality applicant to work as 1:1 associate at Adel Elementary, a preschool through 1st grade building starting March 3, 2025. The staff at Adel Elementary is incredibly caring and work in a collaborative manner. The hours for this position are 8:30am-3:45pm Monday-Thursday. Friday 8am - 1pm

Responsibilities:
- Work with individual students or in small groups to help achieve skills and understanding of class material

Work with a wide range of various needs, including academic, behavior and social Examples:
- Reads to students, listens to students read and participates in other forms of oral communication with the students
- Guides each student toward making appropriate choices and accepting responsibility for their own behavior
- Assisting the teacher in devising special strategies for reinforcing material or skills based on an understanding of individual students, their needs, interests, and abilities
- Alerts the regular teacher to any problem or special information regarding an individual student
- Supervises students outside during arrival, recess, dismissal and may provide lunchroom supervision

Qualifications:
- High school diploma.
- Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed.
