The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of students during transportation, adhering to federal and state laws and regulations, and maintaining a clean and well-maintained bus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compliant with all Federal and State laws and mandatory safety regulations for school buses
- Checks bus before each operation for mechanical defects
- Notifies the transportation director in case of mechanical failure or lateness
- Maintains discipline on the bus and reports any undisciplined students to the proper authority
- Enforces regulations against smoking and eating on the bus
- Transports only authorized students
- Discharges students only at authorized stops
- Reports all accidents and completes required reports
- Current on required trainings
