What are the responsibilities and job description for the Police Officer position at Adel Police Department?
The Adel Iowa Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. High school graduate or GED required. Must be able to obtain ILEA certification.
Possession of law enforcement certification in another state and successful completion of all application and examination requirements as outlined in Iowa Administrative Code 501-3.8(80B).
The Adel Police Department currently has 12 full time sworn officers and 1 civilian position.
Adel has an approximate population of 6,500 and is the county seat of Dallas County. Adel is one of the fastest growing cities in Iowa. Additionally, Dallas County has been recognized as one of the fastest growing counties in the country and state. With this growth comes the need for additional officers to join our ranks.

Starting wage for this position: Uncertified $31.77 per hour/ Certified $32.81 per hour.
