General Description of Duties:
Custodial Crew Leads are responsible for leading assigned custodial staff, all assigned associated administrative paperwork as well as assigned custodial services duties. Work will be performed in a hands-on fashion. Depending on job assignment, may or may not be providing direct support services to clients.
As the Custodial Crew Lead, you will perform the following duties vacuuming, trash removal, sweeping/mopping floors, dusting, restroom cleaning, carpet cleaning, hard floor maintenance, window cleaning, event set ups, tear downs and special clean ups and other tasks as required by the assigned contract. You will supervise other personnel in carrying out contract work, and be able to successfully prompt/train consumers to perform the majority of the duties of the contract. Will lead and maintain the standard work pace for quality and quantity of cleaning functions; makes any necessary changes to assist the supervisor and facilitate the customer. Will perform other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Three (3) years general work experience.
- One (1) year custodial/janitorial experience.
- Two (2) or more years strong custodial experience (preferred)
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, with internal and external customers of Adelante.
- Have the ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in both written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from the public, clients, supervisors and co-workers.
