JOB SUMMARY:
Will assume responsibility for ticket sales services, creation and supervision of patron database and management of all accounting functions of the Adelphi PAC Box Office.

SALARY INFORMATION:
In compliance with New York’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $38,700 - $41,700. Adelphi University considers factors such as departmental budgets, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. An annual base salary higher than the range may be warranted in circumstances where a candidate has demonstrable equivalent prior higher education experience at another University.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
1. Manage the operations of the Adelphi PAC Box Office including supervising and scheduling staff, developing and maintaining policies and procedures and maintaining a positive image of the box office among internal and external constituencies.
2. Oversee and insure accuracy of ticketing process (including online, phone, mail and in-person sales) and income reporting. This includes tracking cash, credit card, check and interdepartmental sales in accordance with University policies and procedures as well as responding to regular audits.
3. Provide ticket and event services to Adelphi University (at the direction of the Executive Director of the Adelphi PAC) with a concentration on events happening in the Adelphi PAC.
4. Coordinate event details and procedures (as related to the Box Office) for all Adelphi PAC events in conjunction with the Executive Director, technical staff and front of house staff.
5. Hire all box office employees and supervise their training on box office procedures and customer relations.
6. Coordinate record management including, but not limited to, patron database, transaction histories, customer donations and merchandise.
7. Oversee and process all group sales services, ticket promotions and ticket subsidy programs.
8. Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director, AUPAC.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to be organized and pay attention to detail.
2. Ability to prioritized workload according to volume, urgency, etc.
3. Extremely strong interpersonal skills.
4. Basic accounting and bookkeeping skills for daily, weekly and monthly reporting.
5. This position also requires administrative experience with the Microsoft Office suite, ticketing and patron database software, and personnel scheduling.
6. Advanced computer skills.
7. The ability to maintain a flexible schedule is critical as this position will require frequent evening and weekend hours.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred in similar field of study with 3 or more years professional experience in professional theatre OR educational theatre box office operations.
Must have a clear record of accomplishment in a similar position of responsibility, broad familiarity with working within a higher education community, a demonstrated ability to manage personnel and budgets, and experience building collegial working relationships.
