Program Director – Foster Care and Adoption
Location – Washington, PA
Adelphoi Village has a unique leadership opportunity for a qualified professional interested in overseeing the delivery of services to children and families in the Foster Care and Adoption Programs. This full-time opportunity will promote awareness of the services offered to youth and families while ensuring the highest level of quality services delivered by staff.
What will the job be like?
You will be responsible for oversight of delivering quality services, ensuring Permanency, safety and wellbeing for clients served, sustaining programs to enable continued support for Foster care and Adoption clients and family needs . Employee development and management will also be a focus. This individual will demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Foster Care and Permanency environment including the regulations, service delivery, family recruitment / development and advocacy. As Program Director, you will create contacts with the statewide adoption network (SWAN), collaborate with County Children and youth agencies, local, private agencies and advocacy groups for foster care and adoption.
What will qualify you for the opportunity?
We seek someone who has a minimum of 5 years of experience working in foster care and Adoption setting preferably with management experience, a master’s degree in psychology, sociology, counseling, or other similarly related behavioral disciplines (or enrolled in a Master’s degree program). The ability to demonstrate strong 1:1 and small group communication skills, the ability to organize and adhere to fast paced environment, work schedule and to be seen as a reliable resource for employees and the children and foster parent will be essential. Extensive knowledge of the foster care system as well as SWAN services and associated DHS regulations.
