Purchasing Manager – Latrobe
One of the largest non-profits in Westmoreland County, Adelphoi USA, has an opportunity for an experienced or aspiring Purchasing Manager. Your background in any combination of accounting, economics, logistics, supply chain, procurement, or related disciplines could qualify you for this opportunity. We prefer a 4-year degree with enough experience to demonstrate your ability to succeed in the role but will consider a variety of related work histories and educational combinations.
What are some of the key responsibilities?
- Learn the purchasing needs of our multi-location campus-like operation that includes residential group homes, education facilities, home-based services, and administrative offices.
- Lead a small team of buyers and purchasing personnel and support the daily activities of the group. Plan the long-term needs of our supply chain in collaboration with operations managers.
- Advance the use of systems and applications that interface with accounting and organize data for analysis. Work with vendors. Negotiate contracts. Monitor supplier performance.
- Assume responsibility for metrics, requisitions, purchase orders, supplier relationships, and the impact purchasing can have on cash flow. Support program expansion and growth.
