We're seeking a dedicated Community Counselor with a Bachelor's or pursuing a Master's in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work to work on a full-time basis in the Washington area. We offer competitive pay, flexible scheduling, and free clinical supervision!
Responsibilities :
- Provide prevention, intervention, and reintegration services to delinquent and dependent youth and their families.
- Assess client needs and develop and review treatment plans in collaboration with clients, families, and referring agencies.
- Travel to client homes and community environments to work with multidisciplinary teams and manage treatment plans.
- Implement evidence-based interventions and promote a safe environment for youth's social, emotional, intellectual, and physical growth.
- Mentor, teach, and support parents / caregivers with parenting skills, budgeting, home maintenance, and employment skills.
- Provide crisis intervention and manage client records and clinical documentation in a timely manner.
- Adhere to Trauma-Informed Care principles and maintain professionalism during external meetings, family-related activities, and court hearings.
- Develop engagement with stakeholders to enhance treatment progress and sustainability.
- Bachelors's degree (or currently pursuing Master's) in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using technology in the field and willingness to learn new electronic systems.
- Demonstrated therapist qualities including empathy, active listening, and critical thinking.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for job-related duties.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
