Position Description
Summary :
The Class A CDL / Semi Driver hauls construction material and equipment used in the construction process to and from various projects, both interstate and intrastate of Ohio.
Primary Job Responsibilities :
- Loads and unloads various types of heavy equipment using various trucks and trailer
- Hauls structural steel, building materials and permitted load
- Follows best practices to ensure that loads are secured and safe
- Inspects trucks and trailers for mechanical items and safety issues and performs preventative maintenance on the vehicle
- Operates in compliance with FMCSA safety standard
- Documents and logs work and rest periods in compliance with DOT regulation
- Plans routes and meets delivery schedule
- Ensures all safety devices on vehicles or equipment are in good working order
- Adheres to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment
- Performs other duties as assigned
