The Concrete Finisher plays a critical role in ensuring quality concrete work by pouring, placing, and finishing concrete surfaces with the assistance of concrete laborers. Position Description
Primary Job Responsibilities :
Set forms to hold concrete in place.
Clean and inspect surfaces to identify pouring issues.
Direct and manage the casting of concrete.
Pour, smooth, and level concrete using tools such as rakes, trowels, floats, and screeds (handheld and / or power tools).
Monitor weather impacts on the curing process.
Apply sealing and hardening components as needed.
Operate power vibrators to compact concrete effectively.
Follow company safety policies to maintain a safe work environment.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Desired Qualifications / Skills :
High School Diploma or GED.
Sufficient education or a combination of experience, education, and training that demonstrates the required knowledge and skills.
10-Hour OSHA Certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment).
Proper training and certifications required before operating equipment.
Physical stamina to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods, and perform strenuous tasks under various environmental conditions (e.g., wet, hot, humid, freezing).
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to perform concrete finishing work.
Ability to use equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects, and use abdominal / lower back muscles without fatigue.
Fine motor skills and necessary dexterity for tool use.
Willingness and ability to travel to job sites, including occasional overnight stays.
