About the Job
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Ironworker Foreman based in Lakeland FL.
We are seeking an experienced Ironworker Working Foreman to lead our structural and miscellaneous steel erection projects.
The ideal candidate will have experience in conventional structural steel erection and stairs.
Responsibilities
- Oversee crew for production value and efficiency
- Act as a hands-on leader of the crew
- Unload, shake out, and organize steel materials
- Erect steel columns, beams, and bar joists
- Install bridging in bar joist
- Experience in installing metal roof/floor deck
- Install materials efficiently while meeting acceptable job specific tolerances
- Weld and/or bolt connections per details
- Install roof and floor edge angle and bent plate
- Install miscellaneous structural steel including kicker brace, support channel, hangers, posts, etc.
- Lay out and install roof/floor frames
- Weld moment connections
- Bolt aligned structural-steel members in position for permanent bolting or welding into place
- Erect steel stairs stringer, metal pans, guardrail, and handrail
- Erect catwalks and handrails
- Install ladders, railings, grating, and other miscellaneous steel
- Install cable rail fall protection
- Provide proper signaling to equipment operators
- Cut and weld steel using torches and welding equipment
- Adhere to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment
