Position Summary: The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for the safe, therapeutic and rational preparation and dispensing of drugs within the Adena Health System. This position ensures compliance with all applicable laws, accrediting standards, health system policies and sound pharmaceutical ethics. Decisions are made independently or in collaboration with another pharmacist. This position may have access to patient and financial confidential information, non-controlled and controlled drugs and certain hospital funds. The Staff Pharmacist maintains competency and works with patients in all age groups unless assigned to work with a specific age group. Depending on area of assignment, the Staff Pharmacist may be required to complete the following tasks: direct patient interactions such as medication and disease state education counseling, minor lab procedures and interpret lab results, administer immunizations, and work according to approved health system protocols. As needed, this position may allow or require coverage at any Adena entity.
Minimum/Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an Accredited Program in Pharmacy
- Current license to practice Pharmacy in the State of Ohio,
- Immunization Certification dependent on area assigned

- 1-2 years in area of assignment
