What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infection Preventionist Level I(PT, Casual) position at Adena Health?
Primary responsibilities are the surveillance, analysis, and reporting of infections for Adena Health System while assisting the Infection Prevention Director and Team Lead in system-wide and departmental Infection Prevention program and policy implementation. The Infection Preventionist L1 prepares and reports infection data to hospital leaders, committees, teams and stakeholders facilitating organizational change and improvement initiatives. The IP L1 reports data for regulatory compliance to NHSN, ODH, LHDs or any other agencies as required. The IP L1 assists in the implementation of evidence-based infection prevention protocols in a variety of clinical settings both inpatient and outpatient. Performs chart abstraction; conducts environmental /isolation/construction rounds; consults with and educates staff and leaders on infection prevention practices within the plan and across the continuum of care. Access to confidential information including medical records, admissions, laboratory data and patient census data.
