We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Lab Scientist to join our Laboratory Services Team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality laboratory testing and contributing to excellent patient care.
The Medical Laboratory Scientist performs accurate laboratory procedures following quality assurance protocols. Responsibilities include specimen collection, instrument maintenance, record-keeping, and serving as a resource for laboratory services.

- Hours: Variable shift and hours
- Location: Adena Pike Medical Center - 100 Dawn Ln - Waverly, Ohio 45690

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate standard clinical laboratory instrumentation with proficiency.
- Demonstrate strong manual dexterity and visual acuity.
- Maintain attention to detail and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Apply critical thinking to evaluate information and solve problems systematically.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while ensuring high accuracy and professionalism.
- Exhibit excellent customer service skills, build rapport, and manage high-tension situations with tact and diplomacy.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree; areas of concentration include Medical Laboratory Scientist or Chemical/Physical/Biological Science.
- Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent certification must be in place or obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Previous experience of 4 or more years performing high complexity testing in the respective lab section plus any other qualifications specified in the CLIA regulations.
