What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner (75% Full Time)- Urgent Care position at Adena Health?
Adena Health is looking for a highly motivated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join the Urgent Care and Same Day Clinic team. The provider may be scheduled at any urgent care or same day clinic site. The provider will see acute visits (newborn and up) on a walk-in basis and is expected to see all patients who present prior to the facility closing time.
Common procedures may include laceration repair, incision and drainage, and foreign body removals. For issues that arise outside of the urgent care scope, referrals are facilitated to primary care, specialty providers, etc. A broad range of point of care lab testing is available as well as EKG and x-ray services during all hours of operation.
Each provider is required to cover two holidays per year and the schedule is rotated so the providers do not work the same holidays each year. Once the schedule is final, the providers can trade shifts with others if desired. Our urgent care sites operate 362 days per year (closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day).
Preferred 2-3 years of experience working in urgent care, primary care, or ER setting, however experience is not required. This is a full-time (0.75) employed position within the multispecialty Adena Medical Group. The position offers generous benefits and a highly competitive compensation package.
- Office Hours: 8:00am-8:00pm (Chillicothe, Waverly, Hillsboro, Circleville, Jackson, and Fayette) and 9:00am-9:00pm (Bridge Street)
- Provider Schedule: Twelve 12-hour shifts per month/every 3rd weekend rotation for coverage
- Urgent Care Locations: (Western Ave- Chillicothe, Bridge Street- Chillicothe, Waverly, Hillsboro, Circleville, Jackson, and Fayette)
