Staff Physical Therapy Assistants are responsible for direct patient care, treating a variety of individuals based upon setting, and according to the plan of care established by the Physical Therapist. The successful candidate will exhibit strong: customer service skills, clinical skills, and patient outcomes. They must practice with high moral and professional standards and be driven toward continuous professional development. Effective time management and teamwork skills are an essential quality that will allow success in contributing to the operation of the Health System.
Required Educational Degree: Graduate of an Accredited Program
Major/Area of Concentration: Physical Therapy
Required Certifications, Credentials and Licenses: PTA - Physical Therapy Assistant with Current Ohio License - or eligible to obtain license. CPR - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. Valid Ohio Driver's License and proof of insurance
Preferred Experience: 1-2 years Prior experience delivering direct patient care to individuals with a variety of deficits, which may include: orthopedic, neurologic, developmental, and cognitive shortfalls. Consideration will be given to new graduates with strong clinical and professional skills.
