The Adena Health System Security Officer is responsible for physical security protection, promoting safety, and assisting patients, visitors, and caregivers within campus buildings. These responsibilities are carried out through the utilization of various systems, personal observations through regular patrols, and other means. The Adena Health System Security Officer enforces corporate policies and responds to disruptive situations inside of the building, uses de-escalation techniques to safely resolve these situations, escalates dynamic situations to law enforcement, completes reports in a timely manner, creates new/replacement access badges, and performs various safety preventative maintenance tasks.
Required Educational Degree: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Education: IAHSS Basic Leverl Security Officer Certification
Required Certifications, Credentials and Licenses: Completion of a security program that includes formal report writing and handling of disruptive situations or successful completion of on-the-job training within first 90 days. Must possess a valid Ohio Driver's License
Preferred Experience: 1-2 years Physical security experience within a healthcare environment. 1-2 years Law enforcement experience. 1-2 years Corrections experience. 1-2 years First Responder experience
