Stress Test RN, responsible for the oversight of ECG monitored cardiac stress tests based on approved testing protocols. Monitors patient hemodynamic status during stress testing. Reviews patient history and risk stratification for stress testing to determine the appropriate level of supervision. Assess health status by completing a nursing assessment. Performs telephone triage with instructions and medication review. Notifies Cardiologist of abnormal findings. Basic computer skills. Administers medications and treatments as ordered by provider and monitors patients for response. Maintains professional growth and development in the nursing field and identified annual core competencies. Reports to the Noninvasive Services Manager.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assessment and Diagnosis: collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or the situation and analyzes the assessment data to determine the diagnoses or issues.
- Outcomes / Evaluation Identification, Planning and Implementation: identifies suspected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or the situation and implements the identified plan, coordinating care delivery and employing strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attainment of outcomes and accurately completes all documentation.
- Quality of Practice: systematically enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
- Education, Professional Practice Evaluation and Research: attains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice and evaluates one’s own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines, relevant statutes and regulations. Integrates research findings into practice. Keeps current on knowledge within scope of practice. Chapter 4723-4 Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) requires the RN to remain current.

Minimum/Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in Nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required within five years from the date of hire.
- Registered Nurse with current Ohio license
