Purpose
To provide coordination and administrative assistance to the Marketing and Contracts Team.
Principal Accountabilities
- Assisting in planning and implementing marketing plans
- Assist in the creation of company website, presentations, e-mail campaigns, on line promotion, etc.
- Provide support to social media efforts
- Assist in the distribution or delivery of marketing materials
- Assist with order and fulfillment requests of promotional items
- Assist with execution of trade shows
- Purchase and manage supplies and equipment
- Coordinate office and/or departmental operations
- Provide support for meetings, marketing, visitors, travel and other special projects
Position Details
To thrive on the job, Marketing Administrative Assistants need keen attention to detail coupled with strong organizational skills. When checking final proofs of promotional items, social media content or trade show graphics for example, they should be able to catch and rectify slight errors -- such as typos or poor image quality -- and efficiently work with a high degree of accuracy with this type of marketing material. Clear speaking and writing skills are also important to Marketing Administrative Assistants because their job involves supplying information to customers.
The individual’s time will be mostly spent in an office environment using standard office equipment in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of work experience in the field of business administration, marketing or in a related area and experienced in office management.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, have adequate clerical experience, customer service skills and time management
- Proficient using Microsoft Office products including: Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms, graphics tools, and analytics (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, Adobe, WordPress, Google Analytics).
- Organizational and Data Management Skills - word processing, digital filing, maintaining records, and managing multiple deadlines and tasks effectively.
- Customer and Personal Service - including customer needs assessment, problem solving, analyzing information, and conflict resolution.
- Effective Communication Skills - has the ability to give full attention to what others are saying, takes the time to understand the points being made, and asking questions as appropriate to convey information effectively (both written and verbal) effectively.
- Ability to Work in a Team Environment - will be working independently and alongside a team, we ideally want someone self-motivated.
