We are currently hiring for an Industrial Automation Controls Technician who will work under the guidance and supervision of the Production Manager and will train for programming under the Lead Automation Technician to learn and develop skills related to automation and control systems. This role will involve assisting with field wiring, testing, troubleshooting, and maintain, troubleshooting, repair, and install equipment that utilizes hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, and/or programmable logic controls (PLCs).

Responsibilities:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install equipment that utilizes hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, and/or programmable logic controls (PLCs).
- Factory Preparation: Assist the field wiring, testing, and commissioning of automated equipment and systems, including electrical and mechanical components.
- Documentation: Record installation activities, including as-built drawings, equipment serial numbers, and any deviations from the build plan.
- Quality assurance: Ensuring that work meets quality standards and conducting quality assurance checks. Complete audits to ensure that work is performed to the required standards.
- Health and safety: Ensuring that health and safety protocols are followed, and that equipment is installed, operated, and maintained in a safe manner.
- Stakeholder management: Communicating with stakeholders to understand the project, Scope and progression status throughout the project.
- Safety: Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines in all aspects of the job.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Pursuing a degree or certification in automation technology, electrical engineering, or related field.
- Aptitude: Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Cooperative: Willingness to learn and take direction from more experienced team members
- Continual learning: A commitment to continuous learning, including staying up-to-date with new technologies and best practices in the field.
Preferred Skills:
- Technical Knowledge: An understanding of automation systems, including PLC's, HMI, AC/DC drives, and related technologies.
- Troubleshooting: The ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Electrical and mechanical aptitude: The ability to work with electrical and mechanical systems
- Must be able to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Physical dexterity: The ability to work in challenging environments, including tight spaces and at heights, and the ability to lift and move equipment.
