About the team and position
The objective of the Arbitration Administrator is to deliver a clear and uniform resolution to our clients, ensuring that fairness and ethical judgment are maintained throughout the arbitration process. You will also be responsible for representing the parent company, Carvana, in any arbitration disputes while maintaining the prior stated objective.
What you'll be doing:
- Review and evaluate the entirety of the information provided by the customer to determine whether or not the arbitration claim falls within the auction experience terms and conditions to qualify for arbitration.
- Communicating and and interacting with external auction entities, independent arbitrators, clients, and internal stakeholders pertaining to arbitration claims. This involves gathering evidence when appropriate from each party to aid in making suitable decisions.
- Analyze and compare information provided by customers, third party inspection companies, condition reports, Manufacturer Warranties, and NAAA guidelines to inform decisions about arbitration claims.
- Exercise independent judgment and discretion related to arbitration claims brought by customers.
- Negotiate repair and pricing of disputed vehicles in order to arrive at a mutually acceptable solution and in an effort to keep vehicles sold.
- Customer asset management, maintaining the whereabouts of the client's vehicle and title throughout the arbitration process.
- Maintain accurate documentation for each arbitration case.
What you should have
- Associates degree, or equivalent work experience.
- 2 years experience in customer service, claims resolution, or similar auction house experience.
- Ability to communicate and interact with others effectively in a professional, courteous manner.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and oral.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to work in an office environment, with extensive use of computers.
- Ability to maintain high volume and high-quality content in a fast-paced environment.
