Position Overview

ADF Engineering is seeking a skilled and motivated mid-senior-level structural engineer with 3 to 7 years of experience in industrial and commercial design. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to dynamic and innovative projects across rapidly expanding sectors, such as food processing, bioscience, renewable fuels, and manufacturing. As part of our team, you'll be at the forefront of designing structural solutions that make a lasting impact on these high-demand industries.

Key Responsibilities

As a structural engineer, you will be responsible for developing structural engineering solutions for both new and existing buildings. This includes the design and analysis of reinforced concrete foundations, structural steel frames, masonry, utility racks, and pipe supports. You will also conduct structural assessments and capacity ratings for existing structures to ensure safety and compliance.

Your work will involve utilizing advanced engineering tools and software, including REVIT and FEA tools such as Ram Elements and Robot, to create efficient and reliable designs. Collaborating with clients, contractors, and other engineers will be integral to ensuring successful project outcomes while adhering to industry standards and codes, such as the International Building Code (IBC) and ASCE 7 Loads (including seismic and wind considerations). Additionally, you will contribute to the planning and execution phases of projects, ensuring seamless transitions from conceptualization to completion.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering and have 3 to 7 years of relevant experience, particularly in industrial and commercial sectors. A strong knowledge of structural engineering for medium and heavy industrial buildings is essential, as is proficiency with REVIT and other engineering design software. While a Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) certification is preferred, it is not required for this position.

Preferred Skills

Experience in consulting engineering and facility design, especially in industrial settings, is highly valued. Familiarity with fall protection design and OSHA standards is also a plus. Additionally, strong leadership qualities and a proactive approach to project management will be beneficial in ensuring smooth and effective project delivery.
