What are the responsibilities and job description for the Internal Medicine Physician position at Adfinitas Health?
We are seeking a Board Certified or Eligible Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatric Physician to join our established inpatient Primary Care practice in Charles County, Maryland.
About the Role
This is a Monday-Friday position that allows for great work-life balance. We encourage Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, and Geriatric physicians to apply.
The Attending Physician is responsible for managing health problems and coordinating high-quality healthcare for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough exams and create treatment plans
- Complete History & Physicals on all new admissions to skilled nursing facilities
- Adhere to Adfinitas policies for patient care and record-keeping
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure seamless transitions
- Supervise Advanced Practice Providers as needed
- Average 15 patients per day
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have geriatric fellowship training or be boarded in geriatrics. However, we will consider any physician with prior geriatric experience or a willingness to work in post-acute settings.
- Board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal communication
- Team-oriented attitude towards patient care
- Commitment to high ethical standards and healthcare compliance
- Strong computer skills, including various EMR systems
- Active State license and DEA certification
