Job Summary
As a Sr. Cloud Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure and services. Your expertise in Azure will be crucial in driving our cloud strategy and ensuring the reliability and performance of our cloud environments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Cloud Architecture And Design
- Design and architect scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Develop and maintain architecture diagrams, design documents, and runbooks.
- Implement Azure best practices, including the Microsoft Azure Well-Architected Framework.
- Deploy and manage Azure resources using infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, ARM Templates, Bicep, and PowerShell.
- Automate cloud operations and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Implement and manage security measures and controls, including Azure Security Center, Azure Policy, and Azure Defender.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS, SOX, HIPAA) through effective governance and policy management.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure and applications using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Optimize performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of Azure resources.
- Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to integrate and support cloud solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior cloud engineers and other team members.
- Manage and resolve cloud infrastructure incidents and outages.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
- Stay current with the latest Azure features, services, and best practices.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and drive initiatives to enhance cloud infrastructure and services.

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Proficiency in cloud infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, ARM Templates, Bicep, PowerShell).
- Strong understanding of Azure networking, security, and identity management.
- Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and automation.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proven track record of working in cross-functional teams.
- Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer) are highly desirable.
- Ability to sit at computer monitor for long periods throughout the day.
- Must possess the ability to stand for long periods of time; to reach with hands and arms; to move among and between offices; to handle mail and documents; to sit, stoop, kneel and crouch; to lift and move up to 10 pounds; to see well enough to discern differences in quality of documents and files.
