The Role:
As an Accounting Clerk you will be responsible for compile and maintain accounting records, including working with vendors and service providers to reconcile purchase orders, and paying invoices by writing checks or using electronic payment methods. Transactions are typically approved by a supervisor before payment. Other responsibilities include compiling reports on a regular, scheduled basis to reconcile cash transactions related to organizational expenditures.
Location: Springfield, VA
Responsibilities:
- Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data
- Processing accounts and incoming payments for multiple projects, client invoicing, and budgeting
- Thoroughly review costs related to each project for subcontractor invoicing
- Actively communicate with Project Managers to ensure all bills and invoices are accurate
- Resolve any accounting related issues with team members to complete AP in a timely manner
- Accounts Payable duties include ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Processing and monitoring incoming payments
- Utilizes computerized accounting software programs (Procore, Prolog, Acumatica, Excel, Microsoft Office) to perform duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- College level accounting classes or accounting degree or 1-3 years hands-on accounting experience
- 2 years of Construction related accounting desired
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and accounting software
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently
- Detail oriented, well-organized, and driven
- Ability to work independently

Pay: Competitive per industry standards based on experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
