Job Description
Manager of a portion of the Buying team charged with procuring both third party (3P) and exclusive brand (EB) finished goods for our stores, including hands-on management of select brands/categories. Monitor inventory levels and turns, exercising stock rotations as needed. Drive cost savings and cost avoidance through strategic buys and negotiating better pricing and payment terms. Assist in overseeing the systematic implementation of pricing and promotions, as well as programmatic and promotionally driven vendor debiting.

For example, the hiring salary for this role in Melville, NY is $130336.8 to $208056.0 per year and New York City, NY is $135767.5 to $216725.0 . Within a range, Resideo determines base pay for an individual based on various factors, including market conditions, skills, and experience.
Incentive Eligible (RBP) : This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus of up to 10% of the annual base salary. The bonus is contingent upon both individual and company performance.

- Sourcing, negotiation and contract management
- Mix development, ordering and inventory maintenance
- Working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations and Accounting
- Team management and people development
- Experience managing a team responsible for purchasing/buying
- Experience managing vendor relationships
- Sourcing, negotiation and contract management experience
- Significant experience in buying
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills with all levels of employees and management
- Extensive knowledge and relevant experience within multiple CEDIA, Commercial and Security product categories.
- Self-motivated and excellent negotiation skills
- The ability to handle multiple tasks and able to manage conflicting goals
- Team management experience and good leadership to drive team performance
