What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping/Receiving Lead position at ADI Global Distribution?
Join our shipping and receiving team and use your previous knowledge to help guide the shipping department to success as a Lead in the department. Properly prepare product for shipment according to specifications and/or customer requirements. Transport material internally. Execute standard procedures and assist logistics team to fulfill tasks on time, every time. Provide ideas on how to improve processes in a strong continuous improvement environment. Assist to build a best-in-class service culture by driving positive customer satisfaction. We offer a full benefits package that full-time employees are eligible for on day 1. This role is Monday-Friday 6a-2:30pm with overtime possible on Saturdays.
JOB DUTIES:
- Transporting material in the shipping department
- Picking and packing orders utilizing an RF scanner
- Operating stand-up reach forklift
- Ensure zero product delinquency
- Focus on continuous improvement
- Execute standard procedures
- Scheduling workflow
- Directing associates into a variety of job duties
- Overseeing department functions under the supervisor Training/coaching employees in the department
YOU MUST HAVE:
- 2 years of experience in shipping and receiving
- 2 years of experience operating a forklift
- 2 years of experience using a RF scanner
- 2 years of experience in a leadership role Basic computer skills
