JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for the engineering and schedule for the program which includes drawing list and certification of deliverables. This role coordinates and ensures the completion of projects, identifies and resolves issues, and ensures effective communication and coordination between all disciplines and other project participants. The Senior Project Engineer will oversee the work of the Design Engineers to ensure work is in line with customer and regulatory requirements and ensure all project elements comply with timelines, budget, and regulations.

- Develop statement of work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and new business requirements.
- Provide business and integration leadership for the development and execution of projects or team plans to ensure completion is on time, on budget, and in compliance with regulations.
- Provide technical input to program management related to engineering components of the project for the creation of the project schedule; identifies project elements and phases, sequencing elements, and timing estimates. For example, checks program schedule to ensure integration with concurrent projects and validates resource availability (manpower, software, materials, systems, etc.).
- Perform technical analysis, reviews specifications, and product design to develop a cost and time estimate.
- Monitor project progress and recommend schedule changes based on re-prioritization, materials availability, and as customer needs change.
- Compare actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned
- Assess impact of customer changes, time, cost, materials, and processes.
- Identify necessary tests that must be conducted during the engineering process. Monitors to ensure the completion of tests such as functionality, durability, and safety.
- Provide regular verbal or written updates based on KPIs and project status. Analyzes data and recommends corrective action as needed.
- Monitor the work of Design Engineers for accuracy and technical competence; provides feedback as needed.
- Develop and maintain standard list of notes for use on 2D engineering drawings.
- May work with management and sales teams to review project proposals; identify and address potential issues as needed.
- Maintain a safe, secure and legal work environment, adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Maintain and protect the confidentiality of the Companys information and products.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned or requested.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS Education, Knowledge, and Experience
Education:
- A Bachelors Degree in mechanical engineering or similar technical discipline is required.
Experience:
- 8-10 years of relevant experience
Skills:
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to lead a team comprised of multiple disciplines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Expert level of experience with CATIA V5
- Ability to communicate and present to a variety of stakeholders (e.g., customers, OEM)
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- MS Project
- PLM system knowledge
- AutoCAD familiarity

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary Range Transparency: $110,000 - 140,000 annually
