As the Occupancy Planner for our Santa Clara (SC) campus, you will spearhead the development of cutting-edge planning solutions and drive the advancement of the HQ Master Plan strategy. Your responsibilities encompass critical analysis, information management, and enhancing employee experience through space discussions, all geared towards achieving the ultimate business outcome. This high-growth exceptionally innovative company demands a highly motivated professional to play an instrumental part on the Real Estate & Site Services team, contributing to scenario development and tactical planning. Working closely with the Senior Planners, you will be involved in crafting campus scenarios, managing moves and shuffles, and leading occupancy audits and analysis for our real estate strategy.
As part of the RESS' Workplace Planning team, you will ensure the accuracy and real-time updates of NVIDIA's global space management system, CAFM (Computer Aided Facility Management - Serraview). As a critical thinker and effective communicator, you will make sound decisions and work closely with our business unit representatives and have a high degree of customer service acumen.
Reporting to the Senior Planner, you will collaborate with CAFM, Design, Lab Strategy and Project Management teams to optimize space solutions.
What you will be doing
Lead day-to-day occupancy planning activities and space allocations to meet tactical business unit needs.
Develop strong relationships with business contacts to understand product area focus, business adjacencies, and departmental reorganizations.
Audit, track, and report on current space allocations and FlexSpace designations in collaboration with the MAC (Moves Adds Changes) team, ensuring updates in the Serraview system.
Responsible for ticketing process and assigning designated workspace in the onboarding system, SNOW and Serraview. Consistent communication with managers and teams regarding service requests and seat availability to support onboarding new hires.
Develop various planning scenarios using qualitative and quantitative information, utilizing tools like CAD, Serraview, and others to build scenario plans.
Be responsible for the accuracy of the space portfolio data, ensuring furniture layouts and physical elements are accurate in Serraview. Conduct regular floor walks to verify and maintain accuracy.
Provide in-depth analysis to support space strategies and alternative space solutions for offices that are over capacity or need to expand.
Establish and update building stacking plans, floor block plans, conduct space analysis, and create various planning options based upon business requirements and program guidelines.
Collaborate with lab strategy, project management, design, IT, and finance teams to ensure viability of planning solutions.
What we need to see
BA or BS College degree (or equivalent experience)
4 years of real estate planning experience required
Excellent customer service and negotiation skills providing best-in-class services are a requirement of this position
Excels working in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively across functions and meeting aggressive deadlines.
Strong verbal competence, presentation, and communication skills and be comfortable speaking publicly to all levels of the organization
Well organized, self-directed, and able to balance multiple planning projects is a quality that you excel in with high attention to detail
You are very proactive and solution-focused
Advanced MS Excel, Powerpoint, and CAFM (Serraview preferred) experience required
