Job Title: General Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a skilled General Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems and equipment in a manufacturing environment. This multi-craft role involves troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with occasional work in carpentry and painting. You’ll work independently within a self-directed team, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot HVAC, mechanical, and utility systems (e.g., RO/DI water, compressed air).
- Support installation of new equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
- Adhere to all safety standards including PPE use and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and site personnel.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Comfortable working at heights and using aerial lifts.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends.
- Strong safety awareness and ability to read technical documents.
Preferred:
- Trade school or associate degree in HVAC or mechanical fields.
- Experience with CMMS and industrial systems.
- Familiarity with 480V 3-phase systems.
