Configuration Specialist Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure hardware components function properly.
- Perform regular hardware tests including functionality, compatibility, and reliability.
- Analyze and document test results, and track and verify defects.
- Work closely with development and production teams to understand hardware specifications and design testing procedures.
- Report on hardware usability, functionality, and defect issues.
- Participate in troubleshooting and repairing hardware systems.
- Ensure hardware compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Stay current on the latest hardware technology and testing tools.
- Collaborate with team to improve testing processes and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a hardware tester or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of hardware testing methodologies and tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair hardware systems.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with different hardware components and systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education:
- BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field or
- Any combination of education and experience that shall be substantially equivalent to the above education and experience.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $45.00 - $48.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
