Job description:

• This role is in the Institutions and Operations Division.
• They will be located in the Central Office Administration Building working directly for the Assistant Director of Institutions and Operations.
• This position will be the facility manager who will ensure that the operation of the facility runs efficiently and smoothly.
• There will be extensive training provided to the candidate when coming onboard.

Experience and Skills:

• Experience gained through employment in an administrative position in a public or private agency involving correctional, rehabilitative or adult programs.
• A thorough knowledge of the practices, methods and techniques of adult correctional and custodial work; a working knowledge of, and skill in the use of firearms and other protective weapons; a working knowledge of and skill in physical Defense techniques; the ability to plan, organize and review work of correctional officers and other personnel on all shifts in the adult correctional institution; the ability to review and evaluate the institution's custodial and correctional activities and to take such action as is necessary to improve the effectiveness of such actives; the ability to provide leadership and to take such action as is necessary to improve the effectiveness of such activities; the ability to provide leadership and to take positive action to quell or suppress any riotous, rebellious or other type of individual or group actions; the ability to handle difficult inmate problem cases; the ability to exercise good judgement in recognizing an dealing with the personal, emotions and adjustment problems of inmates under varying conditions
• Experience providing support to the staff, inmate, non-uniformed staff and to the Assistant Director of Institutions and Operations.
• Experience overseeing security issues and manages all correction services of the institution under the general supervision of the Assistant Director.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
