POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and driven Commercial Roofing Project Manager & Sales Specialist to join our team. This dynamic role combines sales expertise with project management skills to oversee commercial roofing projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business, managing roofing projects, and maintaining strong relationships within the industry. They should possess the ability to read and interpret architectural and roofing plans, as well as create accurate material lists to ensure seamless project execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Business Development :

  • Generate new commercial roofing business through lead generation, networking, and client relationships.
  • Meet with clients to understand their needs, provide estimates, and present proposals for roofing projects.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to close deals.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with key decision-makers in the commercial real estate and construction sectors.

Project Management :

  • Oversee and manage commercial roofing projects from initiation to completion.
  • Coordinate project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, schedules, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Technical Expertise :

  • Read and interpret roofing plans, blueprints, and architectural drawings.
  • Generate accurate material lists and coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
  • Ensure that roofing systems meet industry standards, local codes, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical or logistical issues during the project lifecycle.
  • Industry Connections :

  • Leverage established relationships within the roofing industry to secure subcontractors, suppliers, and additional business opportunities.
  • Stay current with roofing industry trends, technologies, and best practices to offer innovative solutions to clients.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in commercial roofing sales and project management.
  • Strong network and established relationships within the roofing industry.
  • Connections to Product Manufacturing Representatives.
  • Excellent knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical drawings.
  • Experience generating accurate material lists and coordinating material procurement.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in commercial roofing.
  • OSHA certification
  • Established relationships and a good reputation with manufactures in the industry. (Ex. GAF, Carlisle, Firestone)
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, local building codes, and safety regulations.
