Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Medical Scribe to join the ADIRA Health team. The ideal candidate will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to accurately document patient encounters in real-time. This role is essential for ensuring that medical records are complete, accurate, and up-to-date, allowing for improved patient care and streamlined operations within the medical office.
Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe medical documentation during patient visits, ensuring all relevant information is captured.
- Maintain detailed and organized medical records in accordance with established protocols and systems.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to understand clinical procedures and terminology.
- Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively document patient assessments and treatment plans.
- Assist in the management of electronic health records (EHR) systems to ensure efficient retrieval and storage of patient information.
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding patient information.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with medical terminology, documentation standards, and best practices.
Requirements
- Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is essential.
- 3 Years of Experience with medical records management or working in a primary care setting
- Strong typing skills with a high degree of accuracy for effective transcription of medical notes.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with healthcare professionals.
