What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infection Control Nurse/Day Shift/PT LPN or RN position at Adira Nursing and Rehab?
Adira Nursing and Rehab is seeking an RN/LPN to track and implement all infection control policies and ensure staff are adhering to policies to help care for our patients and residents.
This position is Full Time. Willing to train the right person, but prefer prior experience. Candidate may be asked to participate in the on-call rotation.
Responsibilities in addition to traditional RN/LPN duties will included:
- Following all CDC guidelines and input all infections to ensure proper McGreer’s criteria are met, and appropriate diagnoses are listed.
- Ability to speak regarding your data and maintain data from month to month to ensure proper policy and infection protocols are
- being followed.
- Arrange vaccine clinics and ensure residents are updated/offered on CDC recommended vaccines.
- Maintain and ensure all new employees have been offered and received required vaccines/testing.
- Assist in orientation to ensure staff have necessary tools to begin employment in the facility.
- Head in person training with nursing staff regarding new infections, policies or POC education.
- Oversee all staff education and track the completion of education.
- Other duties as assigned.
Our candidates will possess the ability to effectively communicate with patients and other staff.
Educational requirements:
- Registered Nurse License (Required) OR LPN Licensed Practical Nursing
