Teller
Department: Retail Banking
Reports to: Branch Operations Supervisor
Salary Range: $18.68 - $19.20 per hour (Non-Exempt)
Summary:
* Understand the products and services provided by the bank.
* Understand the policies and procedures for tellers.
* Comply with regulations that impact non-compliance.
* Process financial transactions accurately and timely.
* Deliver exceptional customer service.
* Identify customer needs and recommend products or services through referrals.
Essential Duties:
Service:
- Courteous – make eye contact, smile, extend greeting, use customer name, engage in conversation.
- Knowledgeable – understand features and benefits of products and services.
- Accurate – cash handling, scanning, processing transactions, and adherence to policies.
- Problem Solver – handle inquiries and concerns timely and thoroughly.
Sales:
- Identify referral opportunities by listening for cues, profiling customers, and recommending solutions.
- Participate in daily huddles by sharing referral success stories.
- Attain monthly referral goals.
Operations:
- Participate in branch opening and closing procedures.
- Participate in ATM balancing.
- Process daily night deposit transactions.
- Adhere to policies and procedures, understanding audit and compliance impacts.
- Maintain teller cash limits.
- Ensure timely and accurate work routing.
Confidentiality:
- Protect customer information.
- Follow bank security requirements.
Self-Development:
- Participate in online and classroom training to expand knowledge and skills.
- Participate in cross-training for additional roles as requested.

Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum one year customer service experience.
- Minimum one year cash handling experience.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of computers.
- Ability to travel to other area branches.
