What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pathologist Assistant position at Adirondack Health?
Position Summary:
Under general supervision of a pathologist, independently performs or assists in accessioning, dissection, description, and histologic sampling of a full range of surgical specimens and hospital autopsy cases. Assists on and processes both histological and cytological specimens and aids with supervisory functions of the anatomical pathology department.
Educational Requirements/ Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited Pathologist Assistant program and NYS licensure as a Pathologist Assistant. HT/HTL or MLT/MT NYS license and one-year experience as a Pathologist Assistant preferred.
