What are the responsibilities and job description for the Switchboard Operator position at Adirondack Health?
Position Summary:
Professionally answer incoming internal and external calls to the switchboard. Answer patient questions as appropriate and route phone calls to the appropriate departments.
Educational Requirements/ Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Candidate must possess excellent customer service skills.
Telephone etiquette skills are mandatory.
Professional appearance and proper speaking skills are needed to maintain good public relations with daily contacts.
Knowledge of medical terminology and past experiences in professional offices or health care environments is desirable.
Must be able to multi-task.
Computer skills preferred.
