What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Operations position at Adirondack Radiology Associates?
The Director of Operations for all Adirondack Radiology Centers is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the company's operations. This will include ensuring positive patient and customer experiences, smooth operational and financial efficiency, managing imaging modalities and staff, and making strategic decisions to improve productivity and success across all departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
o Collaborating with the management and radiologist team for the betterment of ARA
o Maintaining Joint Venture relationship with GFH
o Overseeing relationships with referring physician practices, i.e. HHHN, Irongate
- Oversee ARA Daily Clinical Operations for all Location Centers:
o Managing and maintaining exceptional patient care and customer relations & experiences
o Maintaining patient scheduling templates
o Supervising building & imaging equipment maintenance, i.e. PM’s, downtime service calls
o Tracking Imaging equipment inventory, service contracts & vendor contacts
o Ordering of supplies
o Managing Vendor relations, i.e. imaging equipment, cleaning crew, linen service
- Technologist and RN Direct Report
o Supervision of staff to meet the needs of our patients
o Staff Payroll
o Maintain & approve staff PTO/Sick time
o Manage Staff Call-outs
o Staff evaluations/performance monitoring
- NYSDOH & Accreditations for all modalities:
o Compliance oversight, i.e. tracking due dates, submitting payment & application
o Managing Physicist vendor contract, scheduling QA testing
o Maintaining all required QA documentation books, policies and procedures to pass inspections and accreditation renewals
- Provide Project Management:
o Installing or upgrading new systems such as imaging equipment, RIS, PACS, etc.
o Equipment purchasing, i.e. review new equipment and provide cost analysis and recommendations
- Development and Implementation of Operational Strategies
- Managing Expenses & Revenue by Optimizing Efficiency
- Utilizing and Monitoring Data Driven Statistics/Reports

- Exceptional leadership qualities with a focus on team development and performance enhancement.
- Minimum Requirement of a Bachelor's Degree. Preferred Business and Management Experience.

Pay: $42.00 - $55.00 per hour
