Description
Reporting to the Registrar, the Graduate Assistant - Registrar performs routine tasks of the Registrar’s Office, which is under the supervision of the Dean of Curriculum. Typical duties will include data entry, maintenance of student educational records, and registration. Attention to detail is critical for this position.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assure efficient and accurate delivery of Registrar’s Office functions and services.
- Train and assist students and faculty with online registration.
- Work with Registrar to maintain and update the online college catalog and Registrar’s website.
- Assist in the development and implementation of procedures and a procedure manual to help ensure consistency for data management.
- Responsible for intercollegiate athletics eligibility.
- Assist with annual NY State and Federal reporting.
- Assist with campus-wide engagement and satisfaction surveys.
- Assist with classroom and final exam scheduling each semester.
- Assist with pre-registration of new and continuing students.
- Assist with institutional data analysis and presentation.
- Assist with other duties as needed, including driving vans to support academic programming, or assigned by the Registrar.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year institution and enrollment in Paul Smith’s College Master’s degree programs.
- Ability to work with a broad range of diverse individuals and groups to form a safe and inclusive campus community.
- Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access) with the ability to become an advanced user, basic computer programming and data analysis.
- Demonstrated excellence in accurate and detail-oriented work in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently on diverse projects and consistently meet deadlines.
- Advanced computer skills and knowledge including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access), intermediate computer programming and data analysis preferred.
- Experience with cloud-based student success applications such as Starfish Early Alert preferred.
- Driver’s license and driving record acceptable to PSC insurance carrier is preferred.
