Identify opportunities to expand the sales of Adisseo dairy products to consulting nutritionists and dairy producers. Establish and build relationships with key decision-makers and influencers including dairy nutritionists, dairy management consultants, and dairy producers. Develop strategies to promote amino acid balancing and develop solutions with customers to pull through the incorporation of methionine and lysine in dairy rations. For example - integrate the use of amino acid balancing software where needed in the solution for customers. The focus will be on dairy farms with >5,000 cows along with key accounts in CA/WA/OR/ID.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Create, implement, and maintain a sales strategy to achieve sales targets for the PNW region.
- Actively seek out and engage key decision makers and influencers including dairy nutritionists, herd management consultants and dairy producers.
- Expand the sales of Adisseo’s dairy portfolio including: Smartamine, MetaSmart, Rhodimet, Selisseo, DynOmik, Adi-Flow and other specialty feed ingredients.
- Develop and service a sales network which includes attending conferences and networking activities to maintain Adisseo’s image as an industry leader in amino acid balancing.
- Attend conferences and networking activities to maintain Adisseo’s reputation as an industry leader in amino acid nutrition.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports to keep team members informed of activities and challenges within the territory.
- Monitoring market information and competitive market intelligence. Prepare accurate and timely reports to team members. Actively utilize customer relationship management software.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
STRUCTURAL: Reports to the U.S. Commercial Sales Manager
FUNCTIONAL: Cross-functional work collaboration with:
- S. Commercial Director, Ruminants
- Category Director, Ruminants
- Ruminant Technical Managers
- Ruminant Business Managers
- Minimum: Master’s degree in animal or dairy science, ruminant nutrition, or related subject.
- Preferred: D. degree in Dairy Nutrition or related field.
- Strong knowledge of formulation software and experience with CNCPS and/or NRC models for ruminants.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in selling technical products or processes.
- Ability to work well in both a team environment and autonomously.
- Practical knowledge/work experience of dairy production systems.
- Thorough knowledge of the dairy nutrition business in territory.
- Advanced computer skills, competent in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations.
DIMENSIONS:
- Home-office based - anywhere in the USA
- Travel requirement is approximately 50-60%
