Typical Day in the Role
- Purpose of the Team: The team manages the relationship with a client at , focusing on driving sales through managing a monthly marketing budget.
- Key projects: This role will contribute to ownership of budget management, analysis and reporting, and will interact directly with both internal stakeholders as well as with the hardware partner stakeholders.
- Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of 20% meetings, 50% financial analysis (providing insight, advising team on current state on financial positions and how to best utilize forward looking budget), and 30% communication with others (Answering questions and advising team members and neighboring teams on financial approaches and quarterly marketing spend).
Candidate Requirements:
- Years of Experience Required: 3 minimum in a partner role - 5 years of experience in the financial field.
- Degrees or certifications required: 4-year degree in business or relevant experience is required to be eligible for this role.
Previous experience:
- Minimum 3 years experience with experience developing and cascading OEM partner marketing investments.
- Minimum 3 years experience with intermediate to advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas, linking spreadsheets, building reports, conducting analysis, and managing PowerBI dashboards).
- Minimum 3 years experience with understanding of financial accounting processes (such as management of invoices and accruals).
The primary skills this person needs to have:
- Prior Joint Marketing Agreement (JMA) budget management experience on an OEM account team at .
- Experience developing and cascading OEM partner marketing investments.
- Experience with Performance Management (PM) estimations and associated impact on marketing investments.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas, linking spreadsheets, building reports, conducting analysis, and managing PowerBI dashboards).
- Understanding of financial accounting processes (such as management of invoices and accruals).
- Understanding of worldwide finance concepts (constant dollars, FX rates).
- Basic to intermediate partner project management experience : tracking work items, monitoring, and reporting progress.
- Stakeholder management. Knowing how to work with different types of roles from marketing specialists, marketing managers, procurement and finance people not only at but also with the partner.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Working knowledge of SharePoint/TEAMS
- Familiarity with marketing tactics and content types is a plus
