Position Responsibilities:
- Assesses the health status of patients/families by means of comprehensive health history and physical examination.
- Initiates selected therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, consultations and laboratory examination, prescribes/alters medication regimens, interprets findings and alters plan-of-care according to protocols in designated area.
- Provides teaching and counseling in the areas of health promotion, maintenance, disease prevention, and management of acute/chronic illnesses.
- Documents findings and plan-of-care in the patient's electronic medical record in a timely manner.
- Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans.
- Reviews patient records regularly and may collaborate with physicians as needed.
- Advocates for patients/families and supports patients' rights.
- Maintains a current level of knowledge relative to professional practice.
- Maintains patient confidentiality as per the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
- Acts as resource and leader to staff.
Position Requirements:
- Master of Science Degree from an accredited Nursing Program
- NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License and Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) License
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Advanced Nursing (ANA, ANCC, AANP, PNCB)
- Current DEA Registration
- BLS, ACLS, PALS a plus
- Will consider new graduates; previous experience working in pediatrics a plus.
- Experience with EMR systems required; AthenaOne preferred
- Strong clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills essential.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
- Professional demeanor with a strong focus on patient service and high-quality care.
- Skills in multitasking, time management, organization, and attention to detail.
Compensation Offered (negotiable, dependent upon experience):
Salary - Salary Plan, 130,000.00 USD Annual
