What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Technician 1st Shift position at Adler Pelzer Group?

Adler Pelzer Group - a growing global Tier One supplier of Acoustic and Soft Trim products to the automotive industry is seeking motivated and committed Process Technicians for the manufacturing operations in Athens, TN (off of I-75 freeway between Chattanooga and Knoxville).
The Process Technician leads all activities related to equipment reliability and improvement, develops new tools for tracking and analysis of equipment failures, and takes a proactive approach to equipment reliability and improvement.
Duties and Requirements of the Job
- Compile Downtime Data from production and maintenance.
- Review downtime data with cross functional teams to understand root cause.
- Based on root cause analysis develop permanent corrective actions.

Assist in trouble shooting and maintenance tasks to better understand failure modes.
Work with maintenance to develop preventative measure.
- Implement predictive measure where applicable, May include:
- Thermal Scans
- Vibration Analysis
- Oil Testing
- Ultra Sonic Scanning
Create and Implement design changes to improve reliability.
Operate, program and trouble shoot ABB and Fanuc robots.
Lead the building and repairing of grippers on HMPTex Lines.
Provide overall assistance to production with equipment downtime issues.
Provide programming assistance for controls, vision, and safety related items.
Note: This section is not inclusive. Other duties are assigned as necessary to support team goals.
Payrate is approximately $26-28/HR (Payrate may change depending on experience)
