Adler Pelzer Group - a growing global Tier 1 supplier of Acoustic and Thermal Soft Trim products to the automotive industry is seeking for a strong and motivated individual to fill the position of Production Supervisor - 1st Shift (Monday 5AM-3PM, Tu-Fri 7AM-3PM) at the Manufacturing Facility in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading, managing and maintaining the assigned manufacturing lines and processes on the Production Floor to meet customer product requirements.
This includes OSHA Safety Procedures, organizing work assignments, checking procedures and equipment to ensure conformance to standardized work, engineering instructions and compliance with established maintenance, IATF16949 and APPS standards, meeting production schedules, and optimizing plant resources.
Responsibilities of the Production Supervisor :
- Responsible for managing personnel (less than 10 employees) and projects within his / her department.
- Knowledge of all functions from raw materials to finished goods, to include equipment and machinery.
- Responsible for proper use and care of equipment, requesting repair or replacement when necessary.
- Organizing and providing training to employees for their work assignments.
- Assists in solving problems to employees on the floor while working.
- Required to work overtime when necessary.
- Ensure proper quality checks are performed.
