Dock / Utility Worker – Peru, IL

ADM Terminal Services

This is a full time, hourly position.

Job Summary :

Load and unload sand trucks. Cover and uncover barges. Set up and run facility equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Basic housekeeping : including sweeping and shoveling of sand.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Operate truck dumps

Load and unload sand trucks

Operate MCC controls for equipment

Perform maintenance on conveying equipment

Keep work area clean

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to climb ladders and stairs

Ability to adapt to ever changing job responsibilities

Exhibit regular and prompt attendance

Willing to work overtime, weekends and nights

Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in a team setting when needed

Exhibit a professional image at all times; maintain a positive and respectful attitude

Ability to work with heights, work in confined spaces

Work in environmental conditions, such as hot and cold temperatures and a dust environment

This is a full time position with varying shifts.

Qualifications :

To be considered for an opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria :

High school education or equivalent is preferred

Commitment to ADM’s goal of achieving a zero injury culture; understand and follow company safety procedures

Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to : prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, shovel material, sweep and dust

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department / team performance, and market factors.

The pay for this position is expected to be :

20.00-$21.00
