Manager NA AN Technology

Position Summary: The Engineering Manager, Animal Nutrition/Pet – NA Region will be responsible for aligning investment and assets to deliver on operational and commercial plans. The primary purposes of the position is to ensure maximum value is obtained from efficient manufacturing operations, aligning capital investment with operational and business needs and driving continuous improvement in daily activities. The position will have oversite of process technology and project management personnel, and will provide leadership and guidance to support a variety of ADM facilities across the US and Canada. Essential Job Functions: Use process knowledge to guide plant operation teams and technology engineers in the optimization of unit operations and the achievement of production targets. Provide leadership and support for capital project managers associated with NDE, cost savings and growth including the front-end loading (FEL) process. Develop and maintain the region’s capital portfolio and ensure adequate resourcing and management to deliver on time and in budget projects. Work with the process technology engineers, project managers, operations, end to end (E2E), and business stakeholders to develop and manage both the yearly and long term capital budgets. Serve as a technical resource for North America (US & Canada) Animal Nutrition operations leaders. Assist plant personnel with the diagnosis of operational difficulties and provide recommendations for corrective action. Implement and track performance metrics to maintain or improve the efficiency of advanced process control and optimization applications. Drive cultural change within the region to ensure that plant processes are able to operate at optimum levels consistently over time. Required Skills: Dedication to working safely and to the awareness for the safety of others. Understand various process unit operations including material handling systems, batching, pelleting, extrusion and packaging systems. Experience with optimization/analytical processes and tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with plant engineers and management. Working knowledge of common process drawings and documentation. Experience leading capital projects with knowledge of stage gate processes for project development. Willingness to spend time in plant areas – tolerate extreme temperatures, walk long distances, stand, climb stairs and ladders and move through close spaces. Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally. Ability to work effectively on a team as well as independently while traveling to remote plant locations. Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in the fields of Engineering, Technology, or other related field. Required Experience: Minimum 8 years’ experience with plant process systems including previous operations leadership and/or Process/Project Engineer experience. Experience in animal feed, premix or ingredient manufacturing would be beneficial. Position Location: Decatur, IL, USA. Location at various NA sites considered.

Salary : $77,000 - $115,000
